In wear, in weather, in work

Reclaimed fabric, practical goods, and simple skills to reduce waste

Speedwell makes bags and garments from secondhand materials and shares how-tos for repairing and reusing clothing instead of throwing it away.

Speedwell is a one-person project based in England, focused on making use of what’s already here.

I sew simple, durable bags and reworked garments using reclaimed materials – offcuts, deadstock, and secondhand textiles that would otherwise go to waste. Each item is made by hand in small batches, built for everyday use, and made to last.

Alongside what I make, I share practical guides on repair and reuse such as how to patch worn clothes, sew by hand, and keep useful things in circulation. The goal is to help reduce waste, extend the life of what we already own, and make do with les, not as a trend, but as a practical way forward.
Speedwell is about utility, not excess. Fewer products. More repair. Skills worth passing on.
